Son and Holy Spirit &#8211; Part 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am more or less willing to be a polytheist.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Category:Trinitarianism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trinitarianism<\/a> gives me a headache.\u00a0 I\u2019m not quite sure how anyone deduced monotheism from, HEAR, O ISRAEL: <em>THE HaShem<\/em> (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_yeh\u00f4v\u00e2h\">\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4<\/a>) <em>OUR GOD<\/em> (<em>\u02bc\u0115l\u00f4h\u0131\u0302ym<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_\u02bc\u0115l\u00f4h\u0131\u0302ym\">\u05d0\u05dc\u05d4\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5<\/a>), <em>THE HaShem<\/em> (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>, \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4) <em>IS ONE<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> anyway.\u00a0 The Hebrew word \u05d0\u05dc\u05d4\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5 (<em>\u02bc\u0115l\u00f4h\u0131\u0302ym<\/em>), as I understand it, is a plural noun treated as a singular (i.e., the Gods is).<\/p>\n<p>If the oneness of the \u05d0\u05dc\u05d4\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5 (<em>\u02bc\u0115l\u00f4h\u0131\u0302ym<\/em>) meant that they were not warring among themselves, constantly working at cross-purposes like the gods of the pagan myths, then trinitarianism would be an unnecessary complication.\u00a0 But the impact the quotation of <a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Psalms+110\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Psalm 110:1<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Hebrews+1:13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hebrews<\/a> had on me as I read it this time compels me to consider something much closer to trinitarianism than polytheism: <em>The LORD <\/em>(<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>, \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4) <em>said unto my Lord<\/em> (<em>\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n\">\u05dc\u05d0\u05d3\u05e0\u05d9<\/a>), <em>Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>But\u00a0when\u00a0this\u00a0priest<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0<em>had\u00a0offered\u00a0one sacrifice\u00a0for\u00a0sins\u00a0for\u00a0all time<\/em>, the anonymous author of Hebrews wrote,\u00a0<em>he\u00a0sat down\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0right hand<\/em>\u00a0<em>of\u00a0God,\u00a0where he is now waiting<\/em> <em>until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn4\"><sup>[4]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 This made it obvious that the resurrected and ascended Jesus was signified by \u05dc\u05d0\u05d3\u05e0\u05d9 (<em>\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n<\/em>) in Psalm 110:1, not \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4 (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>).\u00a0 As a Bible-believing polytheist I would be forced to accept that Jesus is not \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4 (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>) according to this Psalm.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"_Jesus\"><\/a>The <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2015\/02\/06\/romans-part-55\/#_yeh%C3%B4v%C3%A2h\">insight<\/a> that Jesus is \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4 (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>) come in human flesh has revolutionized my thinking about, not to mention my feeling for, \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4 (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>).\u00a0 I won\u2019t give it up easily.\u00a0 If I can believe, for instance, that the <em>him <\/em>in <em>Yet it pleased the LORD<\/em> (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>, \u05d5\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4) <em>to bruise him<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn5\"><sup>[5]<\/sup><\/a> was effectively <em>Himself<\/em>, it presages Jesus\u2019 own words: <em>I lay down my life, so that I may take it back again.\u00a0 No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down of my own free will<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn6\"><sup>[6]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 If, however, I must believe that <em>him <\/em>was someone else \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4 (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>) abused, an only begotten Son in fact, and He wants to treat me as a <a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Hebrews+12:7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">son<\/a>\u2026well, those are fighting words.<\/p>\n<p>As I think of it now, for foolish Gentiles to see <em>one like the Son of man <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Revelation+1:7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">returning<\/a>]<em> with the clouds of heaven<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn7\"><sup>[7]<\/sup><\/a> and then follow their desperate leaders in a <a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Revelation+19:21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">short-lived<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org\/tehillim-psalms-chapter-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">insurrection<\/a> will require a hardening much like the <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/11\/20\/peters-first-gospel-proclamation-revisited-part-1\/#_hardened\">hardening<\/a> that fortified religious minds in Jerusalem to seek the death of a man who healed the sick and raised the dead.\u00a0 So rather than be hardened by a simplistic polytheism I plan to endure the headache of something more like trinitarianism.<\/p>\n<p>The first occurrence of \u05d5\u05d0\u05d3\u05e0\u05d9 (<em>\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n<\/em>) in Genesis was from the lips of Sarah: <em>After I am worn out will I have pleasure, especially when my husband is old too?<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn8\"><sup>[8]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 <em>Husband <\/em>(<em>\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n<\/em>, \u05d5\u05d0\u05d3\u05e0\u05d9) was <em>lord <\/em>in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org\/bereishit-genesis-chapter-18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tanakh<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-dictionary-2\/#_\u03ba\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2\">\u03ba\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03cc\u03c2<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/gen\/18\/12\/t_bibles_18012\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Septuagint<\/a>.\u00a0 Peter made much of this single occurrence of <em>\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n<\/em> (1 Peter 3:5, 6 NET):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For in the same way the holy women who hoped in<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn9\"><sup>[9]<\/sup><\/a><\/em> God<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn10\"><sup>[10]<\/sup><\/a> <\/em>long ago adorned themselves by being subject to their husbands, like Sarah who obeyed Abraham, calling him lord <em>(\u03ba\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03bf\u03bd, a form of \u03ba\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2)<\/em>.\u00a0 You become her children when you do what is good and have no fear in doing so.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Surely the relevant relationship in Sarah\u2019s mind as she laughed, contemplated, probably doubted the possibility of having her first child in her old age was that of <em>husband <\/em>as the NET translators suggested. \u00a0<em>Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn11\"><sup>[11]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Hebrew word translated <em>LORD <\/em>here was \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4 (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>), \u03ba\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2 in Greek in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/jer\/3\/14\/t_bibles_748014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Septuagint<\/a>.\u00a0 The Hebrew word translated <em>for I am married <\/em>was <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_b\u00e2\u02bdal\">\u05d1\u05e2\u05dc\u05ea\u05d9<\/a> (<em>b\u00e2\u02bdal<\/em>).\u00a0 Like \u05d0\u05d3\u05e0\u05d9 (<em>\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n<\/em>) \u05d1\u05e2\u05dc\u05ea\u05d9 (<em>b\u00e2\u02bdal<\/em>) can mean <em>master<\/em>.\u00a0 This is what the rabbis keyed on when they chose <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/katak.html#katakurieuw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03b9\u03b5\u03cd\u03c3\u03c9<\/a> (a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-dictionary-3\/#_\u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03b9\u03b5\u03cd\u03c9\">\u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03b9\u03b5\u03cd\u03c9<\/a>) to translate \u05d1\u05e2\u05dc\u05ea\u05d9 (<em>b\u00e2\u02bdal<\/em>) into Greek.\u00a0 <em>But Jesus called them and said, \u201cYou know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over <\/em>(\u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03b9\u03b5\u03cd\u03bf\u03c5\u03c3\u03b9\u03bd, another form of \u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03b9\u03b5\u03cd\u03c9) <em>them, and those in high positions use their authority over them.\u00a0 It<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn12\"><sup>[12]<\/sup><\/a><em> must not be this way among you!\u201d<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn13\"><sup>[13]<\/sup><\/a><em>\u00a0 <\/em>In fact, the man who <em>beat <\/em>[some Jewish exorcists] <em>into submission<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn14\"><sup>[14]<\/sup><\/a> (\u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03b9\u03b5\u03cd\u03c3\u03b1\u03c2, another form of \u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1\u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03b9\u03b5\u03cd\u03c9)\u2026<em>was possessed by<\/em> [an] <em>evil spirit<\/em>,<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn15\"><sup>[15]<\/sup><\/a> not the Spirit of God.<\/p>\n<p>I think the translators of the Tanakh keyed on the relevant relationship the Holy Spirit intended, for later the same passage reads: <em>Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn16\"><sup>[16]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 Again, <em>LORD<\/em> was the translation of \u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4 (<em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>), \u03ba\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/jer\/3\/20\/t_bibles_748020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Septuagint<\/a>.\u00a0 The word translated <em>husband<\/em> was <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_r\u00eaa\u02bd\">\u05de\u05e8\u05e2\u05d4<\/a> (<em>r\u00eaa\u02bd<\/em>).\u00a0 It was translated <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/sunei.html#suneimi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u03c3\u03c5\u03bd\u03cc\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1<\/a> (a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-dictionary-3\/#_\u03c3\u03cd\u03bd\u03b5\u03b9\u03bc\u03b9\">\u03c3\u03cd\u03bd\u03b5\u03b9\u03bc\u03b9<\/a>) by the rabbis in the Septuagint (Luke 9:18-22 NET).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Once when Jesus was praying by himself, and his disciples were nearby <em>(\u03c3\u03c5\u03bd\u1fc6\u03c3\u03b1\u03bd, another form of \u03c3\u03cd\u03bd\u03b5\u03b9\u03bc\u03b9)<\/em>, he asked them, \u201cWho do the crowds say that I am?\u201d \u00a0They answered,<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn17\"><sup>[17]<\/sup><\/a><\/em> \u201cJohn the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others that one of the prophets of long ago has risen.\u201d \u00a0Then he said to them, \u201cBut who do you say that I am?\u201d \u00a0Peter<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn18\"><sup>[18]<\/sup><\/a><\/em> answered, \u201cThe Christ of God.\u201d \u00a0But he forcefully commanded them not to tell<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn19\"><sup>[19]<\/sup><\/a><\/em> this to anyone, saying, \u201cThe Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and experts in the law, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.\u201d<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn20\"><sup>[20]<\/sup><\/a><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The LORD was determined to do good (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org\/yirmeyahu-jeremiah-chapter-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jeremiah 3:16-18<\/a>) to Israel but questioned <em>how <\/em>since they had treacherously departed from Him: <em>But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations?<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn21\"><sup>[21]<\/sup><\/a> \u00a0Jesus explained His answer\u2014<em>and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn22\"><sup>[22]<\/sup><\/a>\u2014to Nicodemus (John 3:<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/05\/14\/a-monotonous-cycle-part-2\/#_Table2\">5<\/a>-7 NET).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. \u00a0What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. \u00a0Do not be amazed that I said to you, \u201cYou must all be born from above.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, how is one born from above?\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/John+1:12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Receive<\/a> Jesus.\u00a0 Actually, <em>him <\/em>in <em>to all who have received him<\/em> referred back to <em>the Word<\/em>.\u00a0 I was among the slowest of the <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2014\/10\/18\/my-reasons-and-my-reason-part-5\/#_slow\">slow<\/a> to realize that <em>the Word<\/em> was Jesus.\u00a0 Here is John\u2019s description of Jesus as the Word of God (John 1:1-5, 10-13 NET):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. \u00a0The Word was with God in the beginning. \u00a0All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. \u00a0<em>In him was life<\/em>, and the life was the light of mankind. \u00a0And the light shines on in the darkness, but the darkness has not mastered it\u2026<\/p>\n<p>He was in the world, and the world was created by him, but the world did not recognize him. \u00a0He came to what was his own, but his own people did not receive him. \u00a0But to all who have received him \u2013 those who believe in his name \u2013 he has given the right to become God\u2019s children \u2013 children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband\u2019s decision, but by God.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, how does <em>the right<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/John+8:40\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John 8:40-45<\/a>) <em>to become God\u2019s children<\/em>, the fact that <em>Thou shalt call <\/em>[Him]<em>, My father<\/em> ensure that thou<em> shalt not turn away from <\/em>him?\u00a0 <em>Therefore<\/em>, Peter concluded his first Gospel proclamation, <em>let all the house of Israel know beyond a doubt that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/12\/13\/father-son-and-holy-spirit-part-1\/#_ftn23\"><sup>[23]<\/sup><\/a> (Acts <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/05\/13\/peters-first-gospel-proclamation\/#_Table8\">2:37, 38<\/a> NET).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Now when they heard this, they were acutely <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/05\/13\/peters-first-gospel-proclamation\/#sdfootnote21sym\">distressed<\/a> and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, \u201cWhat should we do, brothers?\u201d \u00a0Peter <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/05\/13\/peters-first-gospel-proclamation\/#sdfootnote22sym\">said<\/a> to them, \u201cRepent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/05\/13\/peters-first-gospel-proclamation\/#sdfootnote23sym\">your<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/05\/13\/peters-first-gospel-proclamation\/#sdfootnote24sym\">sins<\/a>, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>We know that everyone fathered by God <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/04\/16\/everyone-fathered-by-god-does-not-sin\/\">does not sin<\/a><\/em>, John wrote those who had received Jesus, <em>but God protects the <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/04\/15\/introduction\/#sdfootnote4sym\">one<\/a> he has fathered, and the evil one cannot touch him. \u00a0We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. \u00a0And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us insight to know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This one is the true God and <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2018\/09\/08\/atonement-part-5\/#_ftn31\">eternal life<\/a><\/em>.<a Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live. \u00a0For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. \u00a0For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to
