in him I take great delight<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2020\/07\/25\/psalm-22-part-3\/#_ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> was not that He would be executed as a criminal.\u00a0 I\u2019m taking my concept of \u201ctypical expectation\u201d from Jesus\u2019 use of <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/do.html#dokeite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u03b4\u03bf\u03ba\u03b5\u1fd6\u03c4\u03b5<\/a> (a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/do.html#dokew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u03b4\u03bf\u03ba\u03ad\u03c9<\/a>; because his soul was delivered to death: and he was numbered among the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and was delivered because of their iniquities.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>I plan to look at all the differences between the Masoretic text and the Septuagint here.\u00a0 What caught my attention first, however, was how this prophecy fared so well at the hands of the Masoretes, whose \u201cultimate goal was to uphold the traditions of the Jewish people. \u00a0The Masoretes had to decipher the authentic word of God and eliminate the dissimilarities.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2020\/07\/25\/psalm-22-part-3\/#_ftn12\"><sup>[12]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So I clicked the \u201cShow\u201d button on <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rashi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rashi\u2019s Commentary<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chabad.org\/library\/bible_cdo\/aid\/15984\/showrashi\/true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Complete Jewish Bible<\/a> online at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chabad.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chabad.org<\/a>.\u00a0 The answer became apparent:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Rashi\u2019s Commentary to verse 3 &#8211; <strong>Despised and rejected by men:<\/strong> was he.\u00a0 So is the custom of this prophet: he mentions all Israel as one man, e.g., (44:2), \u201cFear not, My servant Jacob\u201d ; (44:1) \u201cAnd now, hearken, Jacob, My servant.\u201d Here too (52:13), \u201cBehold My servant shall prosper,\u201d he said concerning the house of Jacob.\u00a0 \u05d9\u05b7\u05e9\u05c2\u05b0\u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9\u05dc is an expression of prosperity.\u00a0 Comp.
