href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lang\/lexicon\/lexicon.cfm?t=kjv&amp;strongs=h3820\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u05dc\u0596\u05b4\u05d1\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9<\/a>; Greek: <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/h.html#h5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u1f21<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/kar.html#kardia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03ba\u03b1\u03c1\u03b4\u1f77\u03b1<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/mo.html#mou\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03bc\u03bf\u03c5<\/a>).\u00a0 Here are (<em>l\u0113\u1e07<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lang\/lexicon\/lexicon.cfm?t=kjv&amp;strongs=h3820\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u05dc\u05d1\u05d5<\/a>) was only evil all the time.<\/td>\n<td width=\"160\">And when the Lord God saw that the wicked deeds of humans were multiplied on the earth and that all think attentively in their hearts (<a the earth, and he was highly offended (<em>l\u0113\u1e07<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lang\/lexicon\/lexicon.cfm?t=kjv&amp;strongs=h3820\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03b4\u03b9\u03b5\u03bd\u03bf\u03ae\u03b8\u03b7<\/a>).<\/td>\n<td width=\"160\">then God laid it to heart<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> that he had made man upon the earth, and he pondered [it] deeply (<a end result of this repentance, regret, consideration and pondering was the flood (<a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Genesis+6:9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis curse the ground because of humankind, even though the inclination of their minds (<em>l\u0113\u1e07<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lang\/lexicon\/lexicon.cfm?t=kjv&amp;strongs=h3820\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u05dc\u05d1<\/a>) is evil from childhood on.\u00a0 I will never again destroy everything that lives, as I have just done.<\/td>\n<td width=\"160\">And the Lord God smelled an odor of fragrance, and the Lord God, when he had given it thought (<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/dian.html#dianohqeis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03b4\u03b9\u03b1\u03bd\u03bf\u03b7\u03b8\u03b5\u1f77\u03c2<\/a>), said, \u201cI will not proceed hereafter to curse the earth because of the deeds of humans, for the mind (<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/dian.html#dianoia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03b4\u03b9\u1f71\u03bd\u03bf\u03b9\u03b1<\/a>) of humankind applies itself attentively to evil things from youth; so I will not proceed hereafter to smite all living flesh, as I have done.<\/td>\n<td width=\"160\">And the Lord God smelled a smell of sweetness, and the Lord God having considered (<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/dian.html#dianohqeis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03b4\u03b9\u03b1\u03bd\u03bf\u03b7\u03b8\u03b5\u1f77\u03c2<\/a>), said, I will not any more curse the earth, because of the works of men, because the imagination (<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/dian.html#dianoia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03b4\u03b9\u1f71\u03bd\u03bf\u03b9\u03b1<\/a>) of man is intently bent upon evil things from his youth, I will not therefore any more smite all living flesh as I have done.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Jesus continued this teaching about the human heart (Matthew 15:18, 19; Mark 7:20-23 NET):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart <em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/kar.html#kardias\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03ba\u03b1\u03c1\u03b4\u1f77\u03b1\u03c2<\/a>, a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/kar.html#kardia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03ba\u03b1\u03c1\u03b4\u03af\u03b1<\/a>)<\/em>, and these things defile a person. \u00a0For out of the heart <em>(\u03ba\u03b1\u03c1\u03b4\u1f77\u03b1\u03c2)<\/em> come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.<\/p>\n<p>What comes out of a person defiles him. \u00a0For from within, out of the human heart <em>(\u03ba\u03b1\u03c1\u03b4\u1f77\u03b1\u03c2)<\/em>, come evil ideas, sexual immorality,<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/em> theft,<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a><\/em> murder, adultery,<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn4\"><sup>[4]<\/sup><\/a><\/em> greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly. \u00a0All these evils come from within and defile a person.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The first occurrences of <a href=\"blueletterbible.org\/lang\/lexicon\/lexicon.cfm?t=kjv&amp;strongs=h3820\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u05dc\u05b4\u05d1\u05bc\u0594\u05d5\u05b9<\/a> (<em>l\u0113\u1e07<\/em>) in Genesis from the Masoretic text had me thinking this essay would be a contrast between the heart of human beings and the heart of God.\u00a0 As I made or studied the tables for these verses, however, I noticed that the rabbis who translated the Septuagint veered away from a <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2012\/08\/25\/pauls-ot-quotes-romans-310-18\/#_mechanical\">mechanical<\/a> translation (if a form of \u05dc\u05b5\u05d1 [<em>l\u0113\u1e07<\/em>] was actually in the Hebrew they translated) whenever God was the subject.\u00a0 I took it to heart.\u00a0 It was a human heart, <a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/1+Corinthians+15:45\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">THE<\/a> human heart, that melted like wax on the cross.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" God.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>David\u2019s prayer got a very <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YcR9k8o4I0w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">literal answer<\/a> in the movie <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Raiders_of_the_Lost_Ark\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/a> when NAZIs, the contemporary archetype of evil, and their French collaborator literally melted like wax before the ark of the covenant. \u00a0But NAZIs and their collaborators are not the only ones with evil human hearts, the source of <em>evil ideas, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Do not be amazed that I said to you<\/em>, Jesus said, <em>\u2018You must all be born from above.\u2019<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn5\"><sup>[5]<\/sup><\/a> \u00a0Paul wrote of Jesus: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2020\/06\/04\/psalm-22-part-1\/#_ftn8\">For<\/a> he hath made him<\/em>\u2026<em>sin for us<\/em>, <em>who knew no sin<\/em>\u2026<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn6\"><sup>[6]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 I don\u2019t believe the phrase \u03c4\u1f78\u03bd \u03bc\u1f74 \u03b3\u03bd\u1f79\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1 \u1f01\u03bc\u03b1\u03c1\u03c4\u1f77\u03b1\u03bd (<em>who knew no sin<\/em>) means that Jesus lacked an evil human heart.\u00a0 Quite the contrary, <em>the Word became flesh<\/em>,<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn7\"><sup>[7]<\/sup><\/a> John testified of Jesus.\u00a0 Jesus stated explicitly <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/01\/26\/who-am-i-part-12\/\">how<\/a> He <em>knew <\/em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/gn.html#gnonta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03b3\u03bd\u1f79\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1<\/a>, a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/gi.html#ginwskw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03b3\u03b9\u03bd\u03ce\u03c3\u03ba\u03c9<\/a>)<em> no sin<\/em>: <em>the Father that dwelleth in me, <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/01\/12\/who-am-i-part-11\/#_ftn11\">he<\/a> doeth the <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/01\/12\/who-am-i-part-11\/#_ftn12\">works<\/a><\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn8\"><sup>[8]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jesus is <em>the pioneer and perfecter of our faith<\/em>,<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn9\"><sup>[9]<\/sup><\/a> <em>the beginning, the firstborn from the dead<\/em>:<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn10\"><sup>[10]<\/sup><\/a> Before his crucifixion He was a human being with an evil human heart so <a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Romans+8:14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">led<\/a> by the Holy Spirit, so <a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Galatians+5:22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filled<\/a> with God\u2019s own love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control that He <em>knew no sin<\/em>.\u00a0 But <em>the Word<\/em> become <em>flesh did not need anyone to testify about man, for he knew <\/em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/egi.html#eginwske\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u1f10\u03b3\u1f77\u03bd\u03c9\u03c3\u03ba\u03b5\u03bd<\/a>, another form of \u03b3\u03b9\u03bd\u03ce\u03c3\u03ba\u03c9) <em>what was in man<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/04\/04\/psalm-22-part-8\/#_ftn11\"><sup>[11]<\/sup><\/a> \u00a0And God <em>hath made him<\/em>\u2026<em>sin for us<\/em>, <em>who explicit about Jesus&#8217; humanity (Hebrews 2:14-17; 4:15 NET):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through
