turning each one of you from your iniquities.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A survey of the prophecies to which Peter alluded would be interesting but I won\u2019t pursue it here.\u00a0 After a perfunctory disclaimer \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Old_Testament_messianic_prophecies_quoted_in_the_New_Testament\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Old Testament messianic prophecies quoted in the New Testament<\/a>\u201d lists several.<\/p>\n<p>According to the note (<a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Acts+3:25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">72<\/a>) in the href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/sp.html#spermasin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03c3\u03c0\u1f73\u03c1\u03bc\u03b1\u03c3\u03b9\u03bd<\/a>, a plural form of \u03c3\u03c0\u03ad\u03c1\u03bc\u03b1)<\/em>,\u201d referring to many, but \u201cand to your descendant <em>(\u03c3\u03c0\u1f73\u03c1\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03b9)<\/em>,\u201d referring to one, who is Christ.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Galatians+3:16\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Note 36<\/a> in the NET cites four references in Genesis.\u00a0 Three of the href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/pai.html#pais\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03c0\u03b1\u1fd6\u03c2<\/a>; KJV: <em>Son<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Here I\u2019ll focus on <em>God raised up his servant and sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your iniquities<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/06\/27\/peters-second-gospel-proclamation-part-3\/#_ftn3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 The Greek word translated <em>turning <\/em>was not a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/meta.html#metanoew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03bc\u03b5\u03c4\u03b1\u03bd\u03bf\u03ad\u03c9<\/a> or a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/epist.html#epistrefw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u1f10\u03c0\u03b9\u03c3\u03c4\u03c1\u03ad\u03c6\u03c9<\/a> (Acts 3:19 href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2021\/06\/27\/peters-second-gospel-proclamation-part-3\/#_ftn4\"><sup>[4]<\/sup><\/a><\/em> he will remove <em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/apostr.html#apostreyei\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u1f00\u03c0\u03bf\u03c3\u03c4\u03c1\u1f73\u03c8\u03b5\u03b9<\/a>, another form of <\/em>(English Elpenor) the Septuagint reads.\u00a0 That time was past when Paul wrote to those in Rome who believed Jesus: <em>the deliverer <\/em>had already <em>come for Sion\u2019s sake <\/em>and Israel in large part (<a href=\"https:\/\/netbible.org\/bible\/Romans+11:2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Romans 11:2-5<\/a>) had rejected Him (Romans 11:11-15 NET).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I ask then, they did not stumble into an irrevocable fall, did they?\u00a0 Absolutely not!\u00a0 But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make Israel jealous. \u00a0Now if their transgression means riches for the world and their defeat means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full restoration bring?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2020\/05\/27\/he-takes-away-part-2\/#_ftn7\">Now<\/a> I am speaking to you Gentiles.\u00a0 <a tense here only to accentuate the time He walked as a man on earth, rather than to suggest that <em>love <\/em>no longer <em>controls <\/em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/sunec.html#sunecei\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03c3\u03c5\u03bd\u1f73\u03c7\u03b5\u03b9<\/a>, a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/greekdoc.github.io\/lexicon\/sunec.html#sunecw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u03c3\u03c5\u03bd\u03ad\u03c7\u03c9<\/a>) Him.\u00a0 <em>So then, if anyone is in Christ<\/em>,
