Part 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Too bad for the wicked<\/em> (<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_r\u00e2sh\u00e2\u02bd\">r\u00e2sh\u00e2\u02bd<\/a><\/em>, \u05dc\u05e8\u05e9\u05e2) <em>sinners <\/em>(<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_ra\u02bd\">ra\u02bd<\/a><\/em>, \u05e8\u05e2)!\u00a0 <em>For they will get exactly what they deserve<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2016\/03\/01\/condemnation-or-judgment-part-10\/#_ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 As I begin to discover <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2016\/02\/13\/condemnation-or-judgment-part-9\/\">just who<\/a> the <em>wicked<\/em> are one might argue that <em>wicked sinners<\/em> are worse than the <em>wicked<\/em>.\u00a0 I won\u2019t dispute that.<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/isa\/3\/11\/t_bibles_682011\" target=\"_blank\">Septuagint<\/a> <em>r\u00e2sh\u00e2\u02bd<\/em> wasn\u2019t translated \u1f00\u03c3\u03b5\u03b2\u1fc6 (a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-concordance\/#_\u1f00\u03c3\u03b5\u03b2\u03ae\u03c2\">\u1f00\u03c3\u03b5\u03b2\u03ae\u03c2<\/a>) here but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perseus.tufts.edu\/hopper\/morph?l=a)no%2Fmw%7C&amp;la=greek&amp;can=a)no%2Fmw%7C0&amp;prior=tw=%7C\" target=\"_blank\">\u1f00\u03bd\u1f79\u03bc\u1ff3<\/a> (a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-dictionary-2\/#_\u1f04\u03bd\u03bf\u03bc\u03bf\u03c2\">\u1f04\u03bd\u03bf\u03bc\u03bf\u03c2<\/a>); <em>r\u00e2sh\u00e2\u02bd ra\u02bd<\/em> was \u1f00\u03bd\u1f79\u03bc\u1ff3 \u03c0\u03bf\u03bd\u03b7\u03c1\u1f70 (a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-concordance\/#_\u03c0\u03bf\u03bd\u03b7\u03c1\u03cc\u03c2\">\u03c0\u03bf\u03bd\u03b7\u03c1\u03cc\u03c2<\/a>).\u00a0 I\u2019m starting here all the same because this verse is part of a couplet at the end of a description of what the <em>wicked sinners<\/em> were about to <em>get<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll consider (Isaiah 3:1-3) from the NET, a contemporary translation of contemporary Hebrew by believers in Jesus, the <a href=\"http:\/\/ccat.sas.upenn.edu\/nets\/edition\/\" target=\"_blank\">NETS<\/a>, a contemporary translation of the Septuagint, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org\/jsource\/Bible\/jpstoc.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tanakh<\/a>, a contemporary translation of contemporary Hebrew by those who reject Jesus as Messiah (and may or may not accept Him as a prophet).<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\" width=\"213\">NET<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\" width=\"213\">NETS<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Tanakh<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"213\">Look, the sovereign (<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n\">\u02bc\u00e2d\u00f4n<\/a><\/em>, \u05d4\u05d0\u05d3\u05d5\u05df) Lord (<em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_yeh\u00f4v\u00e2h\">y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/a><\/em><em>, <\/em>\u05d9\u05d4\u05d5\u05d4) who commands armies is about to remove from Jerusalem and Judah every source of security, including all the food and water,<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">Behold now the Sovereign, the Lord Sabaoth will take away from Judea and from Ierousalem a strong man and a strong woman, strength of bread and strength of water,<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"213\">the mighty men and warriors, judges and prophets, omen readers and leaders,<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">a mighty one and strong one and soldier, both judge and prophet, and diviner and elder<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"213\">captains of groups of fifty, the respected citizens, advisers and those skilled in magical arts, and those who know incantations.<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">both officer of fifty and wonderful counselor, both skillful builder and intelligent listener.<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>In verse 2 the Hebrew word translated <em>omen readers<\/em> in the NET and <em>prudent<\/em> in the Tanakh was <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_q\u00e2sam\">q\u00e2sam<\/a><\/em> (\u05d5\u05e7\u05e1\u05dd).\u00a0 The Greek \u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03c7\u03b1\u03c3\u03c4\u1f74\u03bd, translated <em>diviner<\/em>, is undefined in any source I found, but sounds similar to our word <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vocabulary.com\/dictionary\/stochastic\" target=\"_blank\">stochastic<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0 The root \u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03c7\u03bf\u03c3 translates <em>objective<\/em> in a contemporary Greek <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?hl=en&amp;sl=el&amp;u=https:\/\/hellasforce.com\/2016\/02\/27\/%25CF%2583%25CF%2584%25CE%25BF%25CF%2587%25CE%25BF%25CF%2583-%25CE%25B2%25CE%25B1%25CF%2583%25CE%25B5%25CE%25B9-%25CF%2583%25CF%2587%25CE%25B5%25CE%25B4%25CE%25B9%25CE%25BF%25CF%2585-%25CE%25B7-%25CE%25B5%25CE%25BB%25CE%25BB%25CE%25B1%25CE%25B4%25CE%25B1\/&amp;prev=search\" target=\"_blank\">news magazine<\/a> online.\u00a0 Perhaps that lends some credence to translating the guesswork of the omen reader or diviner <em>prudent<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In verse 3 the Hebrew word translated <em>magical arts<\/em> and <em>artificer <\/em>is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_ch\u0103r\u00e2sh\u0131\u0302ym\">ch\u0103r\u00e2sh\u0131\u0302ym<\/a><\/em> (\u05d7\u05e8\u05e9\u05d9\u05dd).\u00a0 A note (<a href=\"https:\/\/net.bible.org\/#!bible\/Isaiah+3:3\" target=\"_blank\">7<\/a>) in the NET reads: \u201c\u2019and the wise with respect to magic.\u2019\u00a0 On the meaning of \u05d7\u05b2\u05e8\u05b8\u05e9\u05c1\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd (kharashim, \u2018magic\u2019), see <em>HALOT<\/em> 358 s.v. III \u05d7\u05e8\u05e9\u05c1.\u00a0 Some understand here a homonym, meaning \u2018craftsmen.\u2019\u00a0 In this case, one could translate, \u2018skilled craftsmen\u2019 (cf. NIV, NASB).\u201d\u00a0 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/isa\/3\/3\/t_bibles_682003\" target=\"_blank\">Septuagint\u2019s<\/a> \u1f00\u03c1\u03c7\u03b9\u03c4\u1f73\u03ba\u03c4\u03bf\u03bd\u03b1 translates <em><a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/growth\/tools-databases\/regprof\/index.cfm?action=regprof&amp;id_regprof=10192&amp;tab=general\" target=\"_blank\">architect<\/a><\/em> in contemporary Greek.<\/p>\n<p>The Hebrew word translated <em>incantations<\/em> and <em>orator <\/em>is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_lachash\">lachash<\/a><\/em> (\u05dc\u05d7\u05e9).\u00a0 The Greek word translated <em>listener<\/em> is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perseus.tufts.edu\/hopper\/morph?l=a)kroath%5Cn&amp;la=greek&amp;can=a)kroath%5Cn0&amp;prior=t%27\" target=\"_blank\">\u1f00\u03ba\u03c1\u03bf\u03b1\u03c4\u1f75\u03bd<\/a> (a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-concordance\/#_\u1f00\u03ba\u03c1\u03bf\u03b1\u03c4\u03ae\u03c2\">\u1f00\u03ba\u03c1\u03bf\u03b1\u03c4\u03ae\u03c2<\/a>) in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/isa\/3\/3\/t_bibles_682003\" target=\"_blank\">Septuagint<\/a>.\u00a0 The rabbis it seems were more sensitive to the character of the people carried off into Babylonian captivity or to them who were called <em>the stay and the staff<\/em> of Jerusalem and Judah.\u00a0 Many of us would prefer to think that <em>the stay and the staff<\/em> of our <em>security <\/em>were comprised of people of better character than our pundits portray their enemies.<\/p>\n<p>Why was <em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h about to remove from Jerusalem and Judah every source of security<\/em>?\u00a0 I turn to Isaiah\u2019s indictment (Isaiah 2:6-9):<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\" width=\"213\">NET<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">For he has abandoned his people, the house of Israel, because their country, like that of the allophyles, was filled with divinations as it had been at the beginning, and many allophyle man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>A note (<a href=\"https:\/\/net.bible.org\/#!bible\/Isaiah+2:6\" target=\"_blank\">17<\/a>) in the NET acknowledges that the translators added the word <em>diviners<\/em> in verse 6.\u00a0 The Hebrew word translated <em>omen readers<\/em> and <em>soothsayers <\/em>is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_\u02bd\u00e2nan\">\u02bd\u00e2nan<\/a><\/em> (\u05d5\u05e2\u05e0\u05e0\u05d9\u05dd).\u00a0 The Greek word <a href=\"http:\/\/morphological_el.enacademic.com\/191235\/%CE%BA%CE%BB%CE%B7%CE%B4%CE%BF%CE%BD%CE%B9%CF%83%CE%BC%E1%BF%B6%CE%BD\" target=\"_blank\">\u03ba\u03bb\u03b7\u03b4\u03bf\u03bd\u03b9\u03c3\u03bc\u1ff6\u03bd<\/a> translated <em>divinations <\/em>is quite similar in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/isa\/2\/6\/t_bibles_681006\" target=\"_blank\">Septuagint<\/a>.\u00a0 The final clause in verse 6 (final sentence in the NET) was <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_yeled\">yeled<\/a><\/em> (\u05d5\u05d1\u05d9\u05dc\u05d3\u05d9) <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_nokr\u0131\u0302y\">nokr\u0131\u0302y<\/a><\/em> (\u05e0\u05db\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd) <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_s\u00e2phaq\">\u015b\u00e2phaq<\/a><\/em> (\u05d9\u05e9\u05c1\u05e4\u05d9\u05e7\u05d5) in Hebrew, translated three different ways above.\u00a0 The Greek words <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perseus.tufts.edu\/hopper\/morph?l=a)llofu%2Flwn&amp;la=greek&amp;can=a)llofu%2Flwn0&amp;prior=tw=n\" target=\"_blank\">\u1f00\u03bb\u03bb\u03bf\u03c6\u1f7b\u03bb\u03c9\u03bd<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perseus.tufts.edu\/hopper\/morph?l=a)llo%2Ffula%2F&amp;la=greek&amp;can=a)llo%2Ffula%2F0&amp;prior=ou)k\" target=\"_blank\">\u1f00\u03bb\u03bb\u1f79\u03c6\u03c5\u03bb\u03b1<\/a> (both forms of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-dictionary-2\/#_\u1f00\u03bb\u03bb\u03cc\u03c6\u03c5\u03bb\u03bf\u03c2\">\u1f00\u03bb\u03bb\u03cc\u03c6\u03c5\u03bb\u03bf\u03c2<\/a>) in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/isa\/2\/6\/t_bibles_681006\" target=\"_blank\">Septuagint<\/a> mean \u201cof another tribe, foreign.\u201d\u00a0 I don\u2019t know why they weren\u2019t translated in the NETS.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>wicked sinners<\/em> consulted omen readers, foreigners who did not know <em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>, or, perhaps, made their own children like foreigners <em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em> did not know.\u00a0 They had great wealth and had made provision for war.\u00a0 They worshiped the work of their own hands.\u00a0 It sounds all too familiar.\u00a0 The chapter concludes\u00a0 (Isaiah 2:22):<br \/>\n<a id=\"_wicked\"><\/a><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"213\">\n<p style=\"text-align: believe (<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-concordance\/#_\u03c0\u03b9\u03c3\u03c4\u03b5\u03cd\u03c9\">\u03c0\u03b9\u03c3\u03c4\u03b5\u03cd\u03c9<\/a>) or obey (<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-concordance\/#_\u1f51\u03c0\u03b1\u03ba\u03bf\u03cd\u03c9\">\u1f51\u03c0\u03b1\u03ba\u03bf\u03cd\u03c9<\/a>).\u00a0 The religious mind trusts <a href=\"https:\/\/net.bible.org\/#!bible\/John+8:13\" target=\"_blank\">religious<\/a> authorities, <a href=\"https:\/\/net.bible.org\/#!bible\/Galatians+4:17\" target=\"_blank\">human<\/a> authorities.\u00a0 What they are about to <em>get<\/em> from <em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h <\/em>continued (Isaiah 3:4-7):<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td Evil things will happen to him according to the works of his hands.<\/td>\n<td width=\"213\">Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>In verse 8 the Hebrew word translated <em>certainly<\/em> and <em>for<\/em> is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_k\u0131\u0302y\">k\u0131\u0302y<\/a><\/em> (\u05db\u05d9), <em>stumbles<\/em> and <em>ruined <\/em>is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary-2\/#_k\u00e2shal\">k\u00e2shal<\/a><\/em> (\u05db\u05e9\u05dc\u05d4).\u00a0 In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/isa\/3\/8\/t_bibles_682008\" target=\"_blank\">Septuagint<\/a> in Greek the word translated <em>because <\/em>is <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-concordance\/#_\u1f45\u03c4\u03b9\">\u1f45\u03c4\u03b9<\/a> and <em>has been abandoned<\/em> is \u1f00\u03bd\u03b5\u1fd6\u03c4\u03b1\u03b9, which is harder to pin down.\u00a0 It comes up as a form of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perseus.tufts.edu\/hopper\/morph?l=a)nei%3Dtai&amp;la=greek&amp;can=a)nei%3Dtai0&amp;prior=k\" target=\"_blank\">\u1f00\u03bd\u03af\u03b7\u03bc\u03b9<\/a> (send up) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perseus.tufts.edu\/hopper\/morph?l=a)nei%3Dtai&amp;la=greek&amp;can=a)nei%3Dtai0&amp;prior=k\" target=\"_blank\">\u1f00\u03bd\u03ad\u03c9<\/a> (definition unavailable).\u00a0 I don\u2019t think it means \u201csend up,\u201d and guessed that it might be a word negated by \u1f00, so I tried <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perseus.tufts.edu\/hopper\/morph?l=nei%3Dtai&amp;la=greek&amp;prior=w(s\" target=\"_blank\">\u03bd\u03b5\u1fd6\u03c4\u03b1\u03b9<\/a>.\u00a0 Here \u03bd\u03ad\u03c93 is most promising, so \u1f00\u03bd\u03ad\u03c9 might be the negation of \u201cheap, pile up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The final two clauses (three in the NETS) of verse 8 are intriguing and frustrating.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know Hebrew but I don\u2019t see two clauses.\u00a0 The word <em>offend<\/em> (NET) is definitely not in the text; <em>against <\/em>(Tanakh) may be a way to translate <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary-2\/#_\u02bc\u00eal\">\u02bcel<\/a><\/em> (\u05d0\u05dc).\u00a0 It looks to me as if it says, \u201cbecause their words (tongue) and their actions toward <em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em>\u201d whatever follows next.\u00a0 Three words, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary-2\/#_m\u00e2r\u00e2h\">m\u00e2r\u00e2h<\/a><\/em> (\u05dc\u05de\u05e8\u05d5\u05ea) <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary-2\/#_\u02bdayin\">\u02bdayin<\/a><\/em> (\u05e2\u05e0\u05d9) <em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary-2\/#_k\u00e2b\u00f4d\">k\u00e2b\u00f4d<\/a><\/em> (\u05db\u05d1\u05d5\u05d3\u05d5), \u201crebellious eyes glory,\u201d follow next in the Hebrew text.\u00a0 I understand why the rabbis wanted to insert <em>lawless <\/em>(\u1f00\u03bd\u03bf\u03bc\u1f77\u03b1\u03c2, a form of <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/greek-dictionary-2\/#_\u1f00\u03bd\u03bf\u03bc\u03af\u03b1\">\u1f00\u03bd\u03bf\u03bc\u03af\u03b1<\/a>) into the mix in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/isa\/3\/8\/t_bibles_682008\" target=\"_blank\">Septuagint<\/a>. \u00a0But this isn\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jesse_James\" target=\"_blank\">Jesse James<\/a> or the Wild West.\u00a0 It\u2019s a relatively stable, prosperous and religious nation that <em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em> is about to turn on its head.\u00a0 They had laws but not <em>y<sup>e<\/sup>h\u00f4v\u00e2h\u2019s<\/em> laws.<\/p>\n<p>The Septuagint in verse 10 doesn\u2019t have what I called the <em>couplet <\/em>near the beginning of this essay.\u00a0 Rather the indictment of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lxx\/isa\/3\/11\/t_bibles_682011\" target=\"_blank\">\u1f00\u03bd\u1f79\u03bc\u1ff3 \u03c0\u03bf\u03bd\u03b7\u03c1\u1f70<\/a>\u00a0(<em>lawless one<\/em>, NETS) continued.\u00a0 The NET and Tanakh do share the <em>couplet<\/em> (Isaiah 3:10, 11):<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" width=\"638\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">NET<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\" width=\"319\">The Innocent<\/td>\n<td width=\"319\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Wicked Sinners<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"319\">Tell the innocent (tsadd\u0131\u0302yq, \u05e6\u05d3\u05d9\u05e7) it will go well with them, for they will be rewarded for what they have done.<\/td>\n<td width=\"319\">Too bad for the wicked sinners!\u00a0 For they will get exactly what they deserve.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" width=\"638\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Tanakh<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"319\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Righteous<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"319\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Wicked<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"319\">Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.<\/td>\n<td width=\"319\">Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Though both the <em>innocent<\/em>, if there were any, and the <em>wicked sinners<\/em> live under the same consequences\u2014<em>the sovereign Lord who commands armies is about to remove from Jerusalem and Judah every source of security<\/em>\u2014the <em>innocent <\/em>will be protected in the midst of it, <em>for they will be rewarded for what they have done<\/em>, or, they shall eat the fruit of their doings.<\/p>\n<p>This makes perfect sense if we allow that the <em>wicked sinners<\/em> trusted <em>in human beings, whose life\u2019s breath is in their nostrils<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2016\/03\/01\/condemnation-or-judgment-part-10\/#_ftn4\"><sup>[4]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 They <em>worship <\/em>[and rely on] <em>the product of their own hands, what their own fingers have fashioned<\/em>.<a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/2016\/03\/01\/condemnation-or-judgment-part-10\/#_ftn5\"><sup>[5]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0 They are helpless when these things\u2014<em>the stay and the staff<\/em>\u2014are removed.\u00a0 The innocent by contrast trust <em>yeh\u00f4v\u00e2h<\/em> and continue to trust Him through major social upheaval (1 Corinthians 1:4-9 NET).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I always thank my God <em>[e.g., <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-torvalds.74-208-171-134.plesk.page\/hebrew-dictionary\/#_\u02bc\u0115l\u00f4h\u0131\u0302ym\">\u02bc\u0115l\u00f4h\u0131\u0302ym<\/a><em> in Hebrew;
